I am writing this blog, because something else caught my attention, para akong nangangati sa gigil tuwing makikita ko ang kakaibang nilalang na ito sa survivor…Yung pakiramdam na gusto mo sana manuod, pero nakakawalang gana…

Kababaeng tao, napaka epal. Again, hindi ako affected ha, nabubuwisit ako, tahasang sinasabi ko yan… Masdan maigi ang larawang ito…

Tara daw ang pangalan nyan…I hate her. I dont think she promotes any manners at all in Philippine TV, dapat ata MTRCB na ang magpatanggal sa babaeng yan…masamang ehemplo sa mga kabataang nanunuod…

Isa sa mga episodes na napanuod ko ang episode kung saan minura mura ng TARA, ang isa pang survivor outcast na si Charles, hindi nakakatuwa, I think this girl feels she looks good on cam and that the point of view na nireraise nya ay makatwiran…

Nakakainis isipin over all na sa isang reality game show na tulad ng survivor may mga kakaigbang nilalang na nagkalat tulad ng isang to…

Tuloy, everytime na pinapalabas ang survivor gusto kong takpan ang mga mata ng mga bata… Baka kung anong mapulot…

Tara is now the official “panakot” sa mga household… Sana naman utang na loob wag sumikat ang isang yan.  Madalas kasi pag natatadtad ng mga pagpuna at reviews, ironically, sumisikat pa.

Utang na loob wag naman sana…She may have made it on Philippine primetime only because kasama sya sa survivor, pero, honestly, she didn’t make it as a person..

Ang pagiging bahagi po ng Philippine TV ay may kahalong responsibilidad, alam naming habol nyo ang premyo para makapagpabago sa buhay nyo, pero sana mag- isip ng maigi…kaya kayo nandyan para panuorin…at kayo mismo may binabagong buhay sa bawat paglabas nyo sa telebisyon…

So Tara..we hate you…

Sana nga isolated case kami, dahil pag nagkataong marami pala ang me ayaw sayo… gudlack naman sa pagsurvive…

We, thought it was a fake message at first, we were telling ourselves, if the event is this big, the advertising should have been overwhelming as well…

Norinne the youngest among us, agreed…smart little lady as she is, she said in her cute little voice, “oo nga po…”

We ended the conversation at that, until Jershon came and confirmed that the invitation for the event is indeed advertised in friendster, which excited us..

We immediately went online and found out that each friendster member was sent an invitation message and was provided with a link to click, for the event pass..

Jershon, the creative mind in the team, immediately thought of a brilliant idea to print shirts with the event logo and our email addresses..

I said, “Are you serious?”

He didn’t reply, instead gave me, the killer look that states, my question is pointless and that we will all end up printing the shirts and wearing them.

The day after, we were in divisoria, buying plain white shirts for all of us, it was Friday then, the day before the Friendster big event.

We wanted to have the shirts printed but the cost was out of this world, too expensive we thought for the expiremental shirts we were trying out to print.

We ended up buying light transfer papers which cost us 27 pesos per piece in target mall, quiapo.

 The printing was not as easy as we thought, after hours of ironing and the hot iron apparently exploding we survived and had the shirts printed…

It wasn’t as neat as we planned it to be, but it was nice, anyway.. vintage look minus the intent..

I arrived at SM Mall of asia at around 4pm last August 15, 2009. Jershon, Norinne and Nowelle already wearing shirts arrived ahead of time, the crowd was already building up around the music hall where the registration booth is located.. I was told that each member needs to register and present the event pass before he/she can enter…

The stage set up and booths ready to accommodate is a very inviting scene from outside…it didn’t surprise me to see the long line of audience already excited to register and take part of the event..

I went to the backstage and looked for the Media Relations officer or the Head organizer in charge for the Media people, i wanted to cover the event for the local TV station I’m connected with as well as the foreign stations i’m serving, and of course for my site…

The organizers were understandably busy, the first person i spoke with, made me wait for almost 45 minutes just trying to figure out the answer to my question, ” May i speak with the person in charge of the Media Coverage?”.

I watched her walk around, sip coffee, greeted guests coming in…talked with someone using her headset..I saw her do a lot of things, apparently misplacing the person I am at the backstage…

A few more more minutes after, finally i was able to talk to another person who was more knowledgeable with the details of the event…

I was able to get our ID passes and VIP laces and was able to get inside minus the registration…

Our first stop, is the long line to have a make over make up…

Jershon, Nowelle and Norinne waited in line as I went around to observe and get details as i plan to file my story.

 The wait took an hour plus, and the make over approximately 30 to 45 minutes, the ending…all three of them looked like emo’s. Upon seeing eachother’s faces, was the only time we realized that it was indeed a make over to look like “Rakistas”, Nowelle said a bit surprised, “ay oo nga emo pala yung make up noh?”

Our little girl, outstandingly carried the Emo look with extreme confidence, without even knowing what the word emo means..She just kept posing for picture taking…

Shortly before the concert started, we went to fall in line for the “Videoke Singing Memorabilia”, this for me was a very Briiliant Idea of friendster. When we Filipinos attend an event, especially if it involves a good purpose and a number of people, we want to at least take home something from that event so that we can look back to it later on, this booth offered the exact remembrance we needed..

We registered and lined up for another hour and a half, holding pieces of paper stating the title of the songs we wanted to sing and record, the waiting was long, but the recording was impressively fast at 10 to 15 minutes with vcd burned to take home.

The Widescreen was a scene stealer, it was big enough to show the crowd gathered at the second floor how you look like while singing, one singer stood up, he performed a bamboo song ala bamboo, with the outrageous moves and retard look, hehe, he got an unsolicited warm applause from the crowd.

We also made sure to write our messages and thank Friendster at the graffiti wall, there were lots of comment, suggestions and greetings written that we just unintentionally wrote over them just so we can also say something…

The fireworks display came as a cue for the concert to start, impressive, the only problem is that the display needed to be situated at the open area across the street, nevertheless it was still visible…

Jershon’s outrageous idea paid off, the organizers upon seeing the 4 of us wearing our own printed Friendster day shirts, asked us to come up near the stage to be photographed, good job! Once more we owe you that recognition!

The bands invited played 3 to 4 songs i guess, Nowelle, Jershon and I, concluded since the performance was a bit fast…

I only knew a couple of them who were invited, Imago was there, callalily and 6 cycle mind…Callalily and 6 cycle being my “suki” in events in cavite so i was sort of expecting a new breed. I was thingking out loud when i told Nowell, “Kung nandito siguro ang Parokya ni Edgar, puno ito”, she agreed.

We noticed that as the night went by,the crowd outside still built up, but the crowd inside was disappointingly thinning, we associated this to the possible lack of advertisement made prior to the event. We were thinking probably that those people outside thought there’s a membership fee or strict requirement needed to be submitted or paid for them to get inside… This, even though the Emcees kept announcing later on that they can all just go down and join the event…

Over all we enjoyed the event, and like Jershon’s battlecry, “At least part tayo ng big Event ng Friendster!”, we were indeed happy we came.

Friendster’s day was successful and I’m sure since the category is still new Guinness will welcome the idea of this event. Could have better though, maybe in the next coming events the strategy will be different…
